Pat’s Louisiana Green BeansDIRECTIONS (continued)• Add garlic and sauté for 2 more minutes.• Add the tomatoes and stir occasionally for one minute.• Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, salt and hot sauce to taste. Bringthe liquid to a boil. Lower to a simmer and cover the pan with alid that’s slightly vented (or just put the lid on a little askew so some steam escapes).• Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to mix the flavors.• Remove the lid and raise the heat so that it continues to simmer with thelid o . In a small dish, combine the water and cornstarch.
